Day 1: Kathmandu to Nepalgunj

Your journey commences as you board a flight from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj, a city situated in the western part of Nepal. Upon arrival in Nepalgunj, you’ll find accommodation for your overnight stay.

Day 2: Nepalgunj to Talcha Airport and trek to Chuchemara

The day starts with a short flight to Talcha Airport in Mugu. From Talcha Airport, your trek leads you to Chuchemara, a small village nestled near the picturesque Rara Lake. You’ll spend the night in the tranquil surroundings of Chuchemara.

Day 3: Chuchemara to Rara Lake

Today’s journey involves trekking from Chuchemara to the renowned Rara Lake. You’ll have the opportunity to explore the serene and captivating surroundings of the lake, immersing yourself in its natural beauty. Your accommodation for the night is situated in the vicinity of Rara Lake.

Day 4: Rara Lake Exploration

Spend the day dedicated to exploring the stunning beauty of Rara Lake. You can take leisurely walks around the lake’s perimeter, pay a visit to the Rara National Park office, and savor the tranquility that envelops this pristine environment. Your night will once again be spent near the captivating Rara Lake.

Day 5: Rara Lake to Murma

Embark on a trek from Rara Lake to the charming village of Murma, where you’ll encounter unique culture and breathtaking vistas. The village is known for its distinctive charm, and it promises an enriching experience. You’ll find your accommodation for the night in Murma.

Day 6: Murma to Sinja Valley

Continue your trek as you journey from Murma to the historically significant Sinja Valley. This valley is renowned for its ancient temples and rich culture, providing a glimpse into Nepal’s historical heritage. Your overnight stay is in the culturally rich Sinja Valley.

Day 7: Sinja Valley to Chere Chaur

The day unfolds with a trek from Sinja Valley to Chere Chaur, a picturesque meadow that showcases the pristine beauty of the natural surroundings. You’ll have the opportunity to savor the serene ambiance and captivating scenery. Your overnight stay awaits in the tranquil Chere Chaur.

Day 8: Chere Chaur to Jumla

The next leg of your journey involves a trek from Chere Chaur to Jumla, the district headquarters of Jumla. This charming town invites exploration, and you can immerse yourself in the local market and the unique culture it offers. Your night will be spent in Jumla.

Day 9: Jumla to Nepalgunj and Return to Kathmandu

Today marks the conclusion of your trekking adventure. You’ll fly from Jumla to Nepalgunj and subsequently take a connecting flight that will return you to Kathmandu. With this, your remarkable journey through Nepal’s western landscapes comes to an end.

This is a basic itinerary, and you can adjust it to your preferences and available time. The trek can be extended by adding extra rest days or side trips to nearby villages.
